Double dagger 2008

As with HD-DVD itll be down to the player what output options you get, obviously there will be a choice of HD resolutions but Im not sure about SD. I heard a rumour that blu-ray had already lost the fight and maybe several people backing blu-ray have now defected to HD-DVD, anyone know anything about this? I think i heard it had something to do with whatever microsoft were putting their money keep your feet off the upholstery, Ronnie! Consider the fact Sony own one of the largest double dagger 2008 libraries with their acquisition of MGM and its clear that Blu-ray isnt going anywhere for as long as Sony are willing to back the format. Also consider that Sony always seem to lose out on format wars. UMD okay so its not warring with anything else, but its failed miserably! They can push the titles back as much as they want, they still stink. It had a healthy lifespan and for a 5 years was a popular format with many companies backing it. Yes there HD-MD died a sorry death but MD in its previous guises no way. Since when did MiniDisc lose? MiniDisc was quite a popular format for recording onto I still have a rarely-used MD Walkman but did anyone ever buy pre-recorded MiniDiscs? There hardly seemed to be any titles available, except possibly for Phil Collins and Sting fans. I think it was a pretty monumental failure in that respect. HD is already out and has been reviewed by several and its hardly setting the world alight with glowing reviews so far. Im guessing that Blu ray will bring something special to the arena. my prediction is that Blu Ray will win. Although double dagger 2008 might be because we replaced our nice Sony Betamax VCR with a poxy ex-rental Ferguson VideoStar which broke down every few weeks although I hear some of those machines are still going strong after 25 years. So just for the record, whats your preferred HD format?
